HOT OFF THE PRESS is the announcement from the Home Office that the vetting and barring scheme, under which staff and volunteers working with children and vulnerable adults would have to register to be checked by the Independent Safequarding Authority, has been halted and will be remodelled. Funding for the EESI Project from the Big Lottery comes to an end in December 2010. The West Sussex CVS network recognises the value of the services that this project has been delivering and is working together to develop a further project across West Sussex, that will continue to deliver these essential services to Voluntary and Community groups.
