The EESI project is a partnership initiative between all the Councils for Voluntary Service (CVS) in West Sussex. It aims to work towards an Effective, Efficient, Supported and Independent voluntary sector by providing a range of support services to local groups.
The project is being delivered within the overall context of the government’s Capacity Building (also sometimes called Change-up) Programme - this aims to build the capacity of voluntary sector organisations to better deliver a broader range of public and caring services.
The project is currently funded for three years (to December 2010) via the Big Lottery’s BASIS programme -this aims to provide more coordinated and effective infrastructure support to frontline voluntary groups.
